Well, what was it? I can’t actually think of anything really scary that I’ve seen recently, but Salems Lot was a frightener when I was younger.

I must admit to having trouble with Weirwolves but always find my mind has conjured up things far worse than any film.
I didn’t find Salem’s Lot too bad but have a decent story about my mates sister haven’t a nasty experience following it’s first showing on TV in the late 70’s.
I could see what was coming in 28 Days Later and was screaming for them not to do what they did, but that was sort of real scary, as opposed to supernatural scary.
I had real trouble reading Pet Semetary and that did scare me, probably the most scared I’ve been as an adult. I can even remember one night almost jumping on to my bed in case there was something underneath. Don’t know what it was about that book but it really did spook me.
Candyman was pretty scary.
I was in the US for the first time and fancied seeing a Moovy, had a quick look in the paper and saw this film with Anthony Hopkins…. thought ‘his films are usually interesting’ . It turned out to be ‘Silence of the Lambs’ before anyone had heard of it……. It put the willies up me (if you pardon the expression) I can tell you. I saw people running from the theatre to their Automobiles. The other 2 Hannibal films were nothing in comparison, because you knew what was coming….
Oh and watched ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ on my own when I was ‘quite’ young, that freaked me out.
Probably The Shining, but that’s ‘cos I watched it on my own when I was about 12.
