Can’t say I was entirely surprised to find myself alone at the carp ark. And, no I hadn’t checked after 4. Still, at least I got a longer ride than the scheduled one.
Lots of it was dry, but lots was very gloopy and cut up with tank tracks.
Lots of it had nettles, except for the bits that had even more nettles.
Some of the time I knew where I was, and then I discovered that recognising a bit of trail is not the same as knowing where you are. And I found the bit that looks just like all the other bits )
After the pissed-offness wore off, I had a good ride.

Oh shit – John. I’m so sorry about that. Ag had falling down granny problems and as usual we had to be in three places at once because of the kids.
We’ll be going again (or is it just going) next week though – you can come and show us your route
