Riding in the Valley

November 12th, 2009

I went up to Calderdale yesterday, to ride bikes and talk shite with the Singletrack boys and a plethora of northern bike industry types. It was great.
I took my singlespeed, as it was the only bike with air in the tyres and pedals on and I’m amazed to say, I didn’t have to walk up anything, including the ridiculously steep first climbs. OK, we didn’t ride for hours, or cover a great deal of ground, but it’s got me wanting to do a bit more and that’s got to be a good thing.

This is great…

Lean...

If you know anything about this photo – please spill the beans.

Dull, dull, dull…

November 2nd, 2009

Blimey, even doing it the way I am, this ‘loading products onto a website so people can buy them with a mouse click’ is chuffing tedious.

It’s not smooth either, so things like postage charges will need ironing out and I’m not 100% sure what will happen if you try to buy something we’re out of stock of, but hopefully I’ll find out and be able to let you know once we’ve got it back in.

Ho hum – that’s progress for you.

Versa VRS-8 Levers…

October 23rd, 2009

Blimey – over a month and nothing to write about. I’ve been beavering away and I’m happy to report that we will be the exclusive UK distributor of the Versa VRS8 levers. These are funky drop bar levers that work with Shimano Alfine and Nexus 8 speed hubs. So if you want the ultimate commuter, less fragile touring bike or want to pretend you’re riding a singlespeed road bike, but sneakily have 8 gears these are the levers for you!

Versa VRS 8

I’ll pop ‘em up on the site when the first batch arrive, but don’t be afraid to drop us a mail or call to express your interest, we’ll get in touch as soon as they land.

Something different…

Need a folding bike, but don’t want to look like you’re riding something designed for a 5 year old? Then how about this.

Folded

You can bag it up and transport or store it, then in about 15 seconds, turn it into a nice riding ‘proper’ bike.

Keele over…

August 25th, 2009

This thursday, I shall be mostly riding at Keele. Usual place 19:30. Just a short one, then a pint.

*** Balls – I’ve just crippled over on my wonky knee and it hurts like hell. I’m not riding, sorry if you didn’t see this in time. ***

White Stuff…

August 7th, 2009

A massive load of White Industries stuff just turned up, including the ace pedals – I’ll take some photo’s later and pop ‘em up.

If you’ve been waiting for any White stuff, then get in touch and we can sort you out, whilst wading through the back orders.

Thursday night ride!

August 4th, 2009

Yup, for real and everything. This week – Hanchurch. 19:30, usual place.

Ride!

July 30th, 2009

A celebratory ride has been planned. This Sunday morning at 09:00 in Delamere. Meet in the proper car park (unless it’s chucking it down, in which case stay home in bed).

Woot.
