Special treat this week – it’s Ag’s Marvelous Mystery Tour. Meet at the shop at 18:30, he’ll do the rest.

Well, thanks to the wonders of modern communications, we can receive email, but not reply to any.

Anyone know WTF that means?

Scratch that – found a new wireless network…

We’re in Sunny Las Vegas…

Sunday, September 24th, 2006

It’s a cool 82 degrees, but we’re here at the house. MikeD, Merlinman and Mrs Merlinman have arrived and a food run has been commenced.

I’m sat by the pool, waiting for the guy with the keys to arrive…

Badgers Revenge.

Friday, September 22nd, 2006

Well, it turns out that what I thought was a badger I hit in the van on the way back from Cannock a couple of weeks ago, was in fact a black and white cat, phew. I was feeling guilty about killing a badger, but cats – that’s fine.

We’d just discussed this on last nights ride, while waiting for Dave to mend the chain he broke with his mighty thighs of power, when shortly after on an overgrown descent a damn badger pops out of the undergrowth and nearly takes out my front wheel. I screamed like a girl and very nearly shat myself. Bastards.

Today we’ll be mostly…

Building a Turner Flux and a Maverick ML7/5 – sometimes it’s just pure hell.

Let’s Ride!

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

Hanchurch tonight, for probably the last dry ride of the year – call for details and stuff.

High frequency updates…

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

That’s what I’m planning from now on – almost daily (for a while anyway).
Today we re-arranged the Pedro’s stuff to make it look pretty and be less attractive to shoplifters, we built a few wheels, took in some repairs and generally had a nice easy day.
I went to collect a couple of frames from the Parcel Force depot (two sweet frames from IF) only to be told they were out for delivery, so I had to zip back to be here to pay the driver with a business cheque on delivery (they can’t take cash as it makes them a target for nefarious types).

Decided that we’ll be riding at Hanchurch this week.

It’s looking kind of tidy in here…

Monday, September 18th, 2006

We’re experiencing a visit from Bruce Fina, founder of Pedro’s. He’s basically here to sell us a shitload of their stuff, but it’s not often that the guy who started the company gets in touch, fixes up a deal and then installs it for you. He’s just nicked out to get some slatwall and lunch for us too.
I suppose this makes us Pedro’s fans for life now, but hey – I’m a soft touch for personal contact and a bottle of Jura.
Shallow and easily bought, us?

Ag is selling his Cross bike…

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

Yup, his 60cm Salsa Las Cruces. It’s got loads of nice bits on it and he wants £1200 for the whole thing or £350 for the frame and fork. Give him call if you want to know more 01270 883785.Ag's CX bike

What a surprise…

A few days of great weather and when it comes to Thursday, the rain comes down.

Yay.

We’ll not be riding anyway, Hanchurch would have been the place, but fuck that for a game of soldiers.
